Why We Built This
Finding a reliable dog walker used to mean asking neighbors, posting in Facebook groups, and hoping for the best. The major booking platforms made that easier — but they also made it harder to understand what the local market actually looks like in your city, your neighborhood, your specific situation.
Paw City Walks was built to fill that gap. We research dog walking markets city by city, covering local pricing, neighborhood patterns, park access, seasonal considerations, and the platform landscape — so that when you go to book a walker, you're doing it with real context rather than guessing.
We cover more than 1,400 cities, towns, and suburbs across all 50 US states and parts of Canada. Every page is written specifically for its location — not copy-pasted or templated from a generic source. We think dog owners deserve guides that actually know their city.
What We Are
Paw City Walks is an informational and referral website. We don't employ dog walkers, we don't take bookings directly, and we're not affiliated with any single booking platform. Our job is to give you a clear, honest picture of the local dog walking landscape and point you toward the right booking path for your situation.
We earn a commission when you book through one of our affiliate links. That's how we keep the lights on. It doesn't affect our editorial content — we don't recommend specific walkers and we don't rank platforms based on who pays us more. We present the options, explain the tradeoffs, and let you decide.
What We Aren't
We're not a directory of individual dog walkers. We don't vet or endorse specific walkers, collect reviews of individual providers, or manage any part of the booking or service relationship. If something goes wrong with a walk, that's between you and the platform or walker you booked through — not us.
We're also not a pet care advice website. We cover the dog walking market — pricing, platforms, neighborhoods, logistics — not veterinary care, training, nutrition, or other aspects of dog ownership.
